Who might need an organiser/declutterer?

The answer to this is quite simply...anybody. Anybody who just feels a bit overwhelmed by the amount of ‘stuff’ they have in their home and don’t know where to begin. Someone dealing with a bereavement, moving home, a divorce, or like most, no particular circumstance other than the fact you want to take control over your clutter and restore some order. Even if you don’t feel that it’s decluttering you need but more organising your belongings-I’m here to help.

Where are you based and what areas do you cover?

I am based in Hertfordshire and cover a wide area. I usually travel within the M25 but happy to discuss commuting to other locations if not too much further out. Additional travel expenses may apply.

What can you tackle?
Just about anything! From the smaller projects such as wardrobes and office desks, to much bigger tasks such as garages and attics. Any room can be decluttered or organised and made into a happy space.

Will you make me get rid of things?
Absolutely not. You are in complete control over your belongings and will be under no pressure to throw things away. My job is to help guide you through the task, calmly and effectively.

Where will everything go?
Do not fear! This will be discussed and planned before the decluttering takes place. I can load up my car at the end of our session and take bags to the charity shop(s). Please feel free to specify if you have a preference for which charity you’d like any donations to go to.

How long will my decluttering take?
I wish there was a more precise answer to this but it depends on different factors such as the amount of clutter, size of the room and the speed at which you work at. Once we have had a consultation, I will be able to give you a more accurate time frame. On the day, we may find that we finish earlier/later, therefore you will be reimbursed for any time saved. If we find that we need more time, then an agreement will be made before conducting and invoicing a longer session.

Will I have to be around for my decluttering session?
Yes indeed. Decluttering is a task done together but all final decisions regarding your belongings, either to keep or part with, are made by you.

What will you need from me on the day?
Apart from your good self, nothing. I will bring my own lunch to eat on the go and drinks. However, if you offer a cuppa, I’d be unlikely to say no! Please note you won’t be charged for any breaks.

How much do you charge?
I charge £40 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours needed.
This includes packing and taking away any unwanted items to the charity shop(s).
A full day is 6 hours and is charged at £240

Do you have insurance?
Yes, I have public liability and indemnity insurance.

Is your work confidential?
Yes, completely confidential. This is covered under the terms of service which is signed by myself and the client before any work begins. A Happy Space is also registered with the ICO.
